Sunfyre the golden is often hailed as the most beautiful dragon that Westeros has ever witnessed. With golden skin and dragon breath of the same colour, this magnificent yet deadly dragon belonged to Aegon Targaryen the second. During the battle at Rook's Rest, Sunfyre fought Princess Rhaenys and her dragon. Sunfyre and Aegon were joined by Prince Aemond and Vhagar, and although Vhagar emerged without any injuries, princess Rhaenys perished. And as for Sunfyre, the dragon suffered injuries from which he could never recover. He had his wing torn and although it healed after enough rest, it grew on a weird angle and he could never fly as before. Aegon had also suffered huge injuries and was separated from his dragon. However, Aegon later found his dragon in Dragonmont. Interestingly, Sunfyre was the one who ate Rhaenyra.
