Caving Underground: New Discoveries

Описание к видео Caving Underground: New Discoveries

During 2023, a multidisciplinary team of students and faculty spent over 100 hours across 5 trips working on a NASA funded research project at Wind Cave National Park both above and below ground! The Goal: To use Wind Cave and its unique environment to better understand the potential for life in the Solar System.

In this film, the team explores unique rock formations in the distant North East part of Wind Cave in South Dakota. The video was shot and edited by a student team, all of whom were novices in caving. The video is part of a series documenting the research being conducted at Wind Cave National Park, exploring the formation of the cave and the extreme life it supports.
