Описание к видео The Impacts of U.S. Gun Violence in Black, Latino, and Indigenous Communities Town Hall

On behalf of Global Exchange, the People’s Movement for Peace and Justice, and the Center for American Progress, you are invited to attend the Binational Gun Violence Prevention Town Hall at the Center for American Progress. This event represents a unique opportunity for audience members to engage with high-level guest speakers, survivors of violence, and a panel of experts from the United States and Mexico as they discuss the impacts of gun violence in Black, Hispanic, and Indigenous communities and the pressing need for binational action.

This town hall will provide attendees with a global perspective on the gun violence prevention movement while highlighting the efforts of U.S.-based and Mexico-based leaders working to build safer communities. Programming will feature an opening conversation with movement leaders, testimonies from survivors fighting to honor loved ones through action, an expert panel of violence prevention advocates, and conclude with a catered lunch and informal networking. This is the third and final event in a series of advocacy days hosted by Global Exchange and the People’s Movement for Peace and Justice.
