Lungs is one of a pair of organs in the chest that supplies the body with oxygen,n removes carbon dioxide from the body.

Functions ;

1- Warms and adds moisture to the air you breathe in.Your respiratory system warms the air to match your body temperature.

2- Protect your body from particles you breathe in.

3- Allows you to talk.

4- Helps you smell.

5- Balances level of acidity in your body.

6- Lungs also filter small blood clots.

MAIN FUNCTION=Lungs function to draw oxygen from the air and transport into the bloodstream and to remove carbon dioxide from the blood.This whole process is known as gas exchange.Lungs also supply the airflow with the help of which human speech is possible.

PARTS ;
The right and left lung anatomy are similar but asymmetrical.The right lung consists of three lobes:the right upper lobe (RUL),the right middle lobe (RML),and the right lower lobe (RLL).The left lung consists of two lobes: the left upper lobe (LUL)and the left lower lobe(LLL).

Larynx function : Protect the lower respiratory tract from aspirating food into the trachea while breathing.

Trachea function : Allow passage of inspired and expired air into and out of the lung.

Pleura function : Protects and cushions the lungs.

Alveoli function : Exchange oxygen and carbon dioxide during the process of breathing in and breathing out.

Bronchiole function : Deliver air to a diffuse network of around 300 million alveoli in the lungs.

Bronchi function : Carry air to and from your lungs.
