Exploring Stuttgart - Killesbergturm, Ludwigsburg Palace (Day 2 in Stuttgart | 2022 Episode 8)

Welcome to Day 2 of our visit to Stuttgart!!

In today's episode, we visit Killesbergturm, the Ludwigsburg Residential Palace, and the Stuttgart Zoo!

We started our day by going to Killesbergturm. This involved walking up 174 steps to see a view of the city. It was a little scary at the top of the tower because you could feel the structure sway slightly side to side in the wind (even though it was barely windy out)!

Next, we went to Ludwigsburg Residential Palace. Overall, we were a little disappointed by the grounds of the palace. The grass was mostly yellow and crispy, there were a lot less flowers than we thought there would be, and there was a circus tent (on the palace property) blocking the main building. We think we ended up going at the wrong time of the year, it was probably much prettier in the spring or would be good to see in the fall.

After Ludwigsburg Residential Palace we went to a zoo, which was also a botanical garden! The zoo botanical garden was super cool. The Stuttgart Zoo is one of the largest zoo's in Germany (right behind Berlin). The zoo was super expansive and had a huge variety of animals.
