About this Episode: We’re back with another adventure, but this time we’re leaving the RV behind and taking to the skies! In this video, we head to Steamboat Springs, Colorado, for the Texas MusicFest, trading our usual camper setup for flights, hotels, and a jam-packed itinerary of activities.

From horseback riding through snowy trails to soaking in relaxing hot springs, this trip was full of experiences we don’t typically get in our RV travels. We also hit the slopes for some thrilling snow tubing and soaked up the incredible live performances from some of our favorite artists at the Music Fest.

One major question we tackle in this episode: Why didn’t we bring the camper? The short answer is winter RVing is no joke. Taking your rig into freezing temperatures requires serious prep work to avoid problems like frozen pipes and heating issues. Since we’ve been exploring warmer climates, our camper isn’t quite ready for the demands of cold-weather camping just yet.

And while flying made this trip possible, it also reminded us why we love RV travel so much. After a 6-hour flight delay on our way back, we couldn’t help but think about how much smoother this journey could’ve been with our home on wheels—bed included.
