New Yorker Rides the LA Metro from Santa Monica to Hollywood

Also: there was a free transfer at 7th street metro due to maintenance but I chose to take the bike for higher enjoyment.

LA Metro?! Does it really exist? As a New Yorker, the subways & trains were my prime method of navigating the city. But in Los Angeles - a city that favors car culture over trains and pedestrians, I had no idea what to expect when taking the LA metro. I set out on a challenge to ride the trains from Downtown Santa Monica to Hollywood and hike Runyon Canyon, not realizing that the journey there would really be the hike itself.
