11 players were drafted before Tyrese Haliburton in the 2020 NBA draft. Despite being a late bloomer in high school, he excelled at Iowa State, catching NBA attention. Although most teams feared him because of an "ugly" jump shot and inability to see him work out in person. Haliburton was rumored to be drafted anywhere from the 2nd pick to the 15th. Haliburton bet on himself and knew he would be a star so he told teams who already had star point guards not to draft him. The Kings ended up picking him and it was a shock....
