ITV Coronation Street Sally Carman says 'what' as co star's return confirmed

Coronation Street stars were thrilled as Jennie McAlpine's return to the show was confirmed.

The soap star is renowned for her role as Fiz Brown on the Cobbles and has portrayed the legendary character since 2001. The 39-year-old has been off our screens since May as Fiz departed Weatherfield for a new job in Norwich.

The character was written out of the show as Jennie went on maternity leave after she welcomed her third child into the world with husband, Chris Farr. However, Jennie's onscreen husband, Alan Halsall, has confirmed she has now returned to the Corrie set.
