Qilai Main Peak 奇萊山 My scariest hike yet.

Описание к видео Qilai Main Peak 奇萊山 My scariest hike yet.

In this edition of Amateur Hiking in Taiwan, myself and the team attempt Qilai main and Qilai North peak. SPOILER ALERT We did not make it to the North Peak as the weather was horrendous. Qilai North is also known as Black or Dark Qilai because of the rapidly changing weather and deaths that have happened there in the past. It is also known as Taiwan's deadliest peak. Hence due to the circumstances we decided to rather just attempt Qilai Main.
Sadly due to the weather conditions, I could not use my drone.
We will definitely try this hike again with hopefully better weather next time.

Accommodation on the trail needs to be booked in advance. You can reserve cabin space on the trail’s lodges up to one month in advance on the National Park website here (https://npm.cpami.gov.tw/en/apply_1_2....
The trailhead is located right behind the Ski Lodge (滑雪山莊), about a 5-minute walk from the parking lot at the Hehuanshan National Forest Recreation Area (合歡山神林遊樂區)
