I wanted to study the old 8-bit Nintendo sound effects... see what they were made of. Here, I've tried to reproduce them in Finale, my music notation software. What you hear in Finale is midi playback, with Finale's "Standard Human Playback." In Audacity, you hear the bona fide sound effect. If there's enough interest, I'll post slower playback footage for the other sounds.
