The national capital continues to grapple with a severe pollution crisis as air quality levels have soared beyond the hazardous mark of 500. Responding to the alarming situation, Delhi Environment Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa issued an apology to residents over the deteriorating air quality, stating that it is impossible for any elected government to bring down AQI levels within a short span of 9–10 months. He also blamed the previous AAP-led Delhi government for the worsening pollution, calling it a “disease” created during the Kejriwal administration and accusing it of failing to address the long-standing environmental crisis.
