Single Cell Genomics, SC Proteomics, and Spatial Omics with MALDI Imaging
[Bruker Research Day: Talk 1]

Single-cell technologies are revolutionizing biology, from imaging FACS-isolated cells to deep sequencing to functional proteins. Genomics is helping researchers uncover molecular insights, explore cellular heterogeneity, dissect cell-type differences, identify rare cell types, and detect novel biomarkers. In diseases that lack genetic elements and most proteins work via post-translational modifications, single-cell proteomics reveals information on protein levels. Understanding the spatial organization of cells/molecules is critical in treating diseases. Special biology can be explored by Spatial Multi-Omics, which combines spatial transcriptomics and antibody-based protein measurements. Imaging is a complementary field to many aspects of spatial biology and continues to provide researchers with the unique capability of being compatible with metabolomics, lipidomics, glycomics, and proteomics. This single-cell series will introduce single-cell technologies, such as 10x Genomics and FACs, and explore ultra-high sensitivity workflow on the timsTOF SCP system. The second seminar will introduce SpatialOMx Workflow on timsTOF flex MALDI-2 imaging and the downstream process.
