🎬 ON TODAY'S MANUAL: Blending distortions/fuzzes/overdrives with reverb might not be a hard task for all of you bedroom shoegazers out there (like me) but it can be quite frustrating for fellow apprentices that are just getting started into bending up and down the whammy bar on their hipster guitars so they can into VROOO VROO VREEE VREE like us. This video is dedicated to all of you who are just starting to play/listen to shoegaze - the world needs more like you! (: Here I'm showing up some of the tips and tricks I've learned on how to - try - to tame wild reverb tails and muddy distortions or fuzzes when playing shoegaze. Sometimes, things can get too blurry, not necessarily in the way you want for a specific song or context, so I hope this helps you out. Today, we're exploring three "basic" types of reverb for shoegaze - Gated, Modulated and Hall reverbs - debating on the difference between them, what makes each of them so special, and how to better mix these effects with fuzz.
