This setup shows the field assembly table used during the prototyping of motion-control systems for the Walking Bread animation lab. The workspace integrates modular rigging parts designed for adaptability across stop-motion, macro-photography, and mixed-media capture.

Visible in the frame are Cinetactics gear bags, precision rack-driven sliders, NEMA 17 stepper motor mounts, and stainless ball-joint clamps arranged for calibration. Each component was tested for torque response, vibration control, and rail compatibility within Dragonframe and Unreal Engine 5 virtual sync pipelines.

The collection reflects the lab’s ongoing effort to standardize physical computing tools that bridge motion mechanics and digital simulation, forming the backbone of Walking Bread’s hybrid cinematography approach. Every rig component can be reconfigured into a new experimental setup, merging traditional stop-motion hardware with Arduino-based automation for repeatable precision movements.
