⭕ Super Sonic" can refer to two different things: a speed faster than the speed of sound, and a transformation of the video game character Sonic the Hedgehog. In physics, "super sonic" describes speeds exceeding the speed of sound.

⭕ A sonic boom is a loud, thunderous noise created when an object, like an aircraft, travels faster than the speed of sound, which is about 767 mph (1,236 km/h) at sea level. This happens because the pressure waves created by the object compress and merge, forming a shockwave that travels faster than sound. The shockwave is then perceived as a loud, impulsive sound, similar to a clap of thunder. 

⭕ When a fighter jet pilot breaks the sound barrier, they don't hear the sonic boom that is created on the ground. This is because they are traveling faster than the speed of sound, meaning the sound wave from the boom can't catch up to them. They can still hear sounds within the enclosed cockpit, but the external sound waves are not perceived.
