Making the transition (or addition) from layer-based to node-based compositing can start to feel overwhelming pretty quickly.

In this series of videos I’ll be going through a relatively basic composite, but while doing so really trying to take some time to point out typical trouble areas and (admittedly) things that I myself struggled with when I was first learning node-based via Apple Shake (may it rest in peace!).

I have an essentially identical series of videos for both Foundry Nuke and Blackmagic Fusion, so feel free to cross-reference and use one as a bridge to the other – though I am assuming no prior node usage in my explanations.
