Driving the Harz Mountains, Germany

Driving through the Harz Mountains in Germany. I first learned about the Harz Mountains from another YouTube video (   • MOST POPULAR ROAD in the HARZ MOUNTAI...  ). Coincidentally, I was somewhat nearby (just a 5 hour detour :-)) a few days later and had a day to spare. The trip was a bit of a gamble given the weather situation, but it remained dry, and I was rewarded with beautiful autumn colors and a red sunset at the end of the day!

I planned a route to drive as much as possible, zig-zagging the area from Blankenburg to Nordhausen, back up north to Timmenrode, and lastly back south to Roßla.

All previous videos were recorded with GoPro's default settings. I was never really happy with the colors, always found them a bit oversaturated and under-/overexposed in difficult lighting situations. During this period of bad weather and the coronavirus, I planned to learn about camera settings and video editing, and used this trip to test. It turns out to be quite difficult to record and edit everything properly. Although not fully satisfied with the end result, I hope you enjoy the video, feedback/critique is more than welcome!
