Baseball in Kenya: through the stories of Kenyan coaches, Angels at Bat, and partners

Описание к видео Baseball in Kenya: through the stories of Kenyan coaches, Angels at Bat, and partners

Baseball is a relatively new sport to much of Africa, and Kenya is not different in that regard. However, the sport is rapidly growing in part due to efforts to distribute equipment, host tournaments, build fields, and much more. Angels at Bat, a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit in the United States, has worked to grow baseball in the country since 2014. In collaboration with its partners, namely IfWeBuildIt.org, the Makueni County Government, and the Kongoni Community Library, Angels at Bat has witnessed tremendous growth.

This documentary was recorded in May of 2024 when members of the Angels at Bat team traveled to different parts of Kenya. These conversations focus on baseball's growth in local communities, investment by a county government, and the benefits of a dedicated baseball field.
