Costaconvexa centrostrigaria, the traveller or bent-line carpet, is a moth in the family Geometridae. It is native to most of North America, except the Arctic. It is an introduced species in Great Britain, the Canary Islands, the Azores and Madeira.

The bent-line carpet moth larvae feed on low plants like knotweed and smartweed.

The moth has a wingspan of 17–23 mm and is most common in open, wet areas, such as streamsides, ditches, and roadsides.

The bent-line carpet moth is present from early spring until the first hard frosts of autumn.
There are usually at least two generations of the moth each year.
The adults are most active at night and are attracted to light.

The "bent-line carpet moth" (Costaconvexa centrostrigaria) is not considered bad for carpet because, despite its name, it does not actually eat fabric and is not a true carpet moth its larvae primarily feed on plants like knotweeds and smartweeds, making it harmless to your carpets.

While called a "carpet moth," this species is actually a type of geometrid moth, which typically feed on plant material, not textiles.
