From Van Halen's humble beginnings playing backyard keggers in Pasadena to headlining arenas all over the world, there's hardly a stage Michael hasn't seen. This kind of rock 'n' roll lifestyle requires a rugged rock 'n' roll bass, and the BB3000MA is it!

Based on a through-neck BB design, the BB3000MA features a streamlined neck shape and deeper cutaways. Other custom appointments include a Hipshot D tuner, both J- and split-style pickups, and original chili pepper inlays on the ebony fingerboard.

As a long-time user of Yamaha's original BB3000S, Michael Anthony was in a perfect position to collaborate on the BB3000MA. The new design features a thinner-profile through-neck for added speed, plus a reshaped heel and deeper cutaway for a clear reach to the top of the ebony fingerboard. Another eye-catching mark of distinction are the custom chili-pepper position inlays.

Appropriately hot sounds come from two powerful Alnico V single-coil pickups, controlled by a simple yet tonally versatile control layout. An added feature is a Hipshot tuner on the E string, enabling instant and accurate dropping to D at the flick of a lever.
