Five Days of World Class Jazz featuring the UK's most exciting acts from deep tradition to the cutting edge

Despite its deserved reputation as a creative hotspot and a magnet for the UK’s vibrant musical community, it’s been many years since Brighton had a jazz festival of its own.

Now the Palace Pier, New Generation Jazz and Latest Music’s Pierfest have joined forces to create the jazz festival that the city deserves, and as an added bonus, Love Supreme Festival will be consoling all those disappointed by the festival’s unavoidable postponement by bringing their Supreme Standards brand to the Saturday night!

Over five consecutive nights from Wednesday September 29th to Sunday October 3rd, Brighton Jazz Festival will be bringing some of the UK’s finest jazz talent to perform in the location that captures the spirit of Brighton in all its quirky fun-loving glory - the world famous Palace Pier.
Horatios' Bar at the end of the pier will be turning into a 250-capacity jazz club for a series of concerts featuring the full range of UK jazz talent, from the deep tradition to the cutting edge.

Doors are at 7.30pm and the line-up is as follows:

Wednesday 29th September - Liane Carroll and Julian Siegel duo
Thursday 30th September - Double Bill with Sarah Oschlag Quintet and Alan Barnes and Dave Newton duo
Friday 1st October - Double Bill with Howes3 and Jackson Mathod
Saturday 2nd October.- Supreme Standards presents a Double Bill with Mark Kavuma’s Banger Factory and Cherise
Sunday 3rd October - Double Bill with the Terry Seabrook Quintet and QOW TRIO


In addition there is a programme of FREE admission events in the daytimes, also at Horatios Bar, reflecting the strength and diversity of Brighton’s Jazz community.

Friday 1st October - 3.30-4pm & 4.30-5pm - Fisher & Rae
Saturday 2nd October - 2pm - WaterBears emerging talent showcase
Sunday 3rd October - 1pm - Jazz Futures - featuring all female Jazz Futures Sax Quintet and the New Generation Jazz Youth Orchestra.
3pm - Adrian Kendon and the Bopstars.
