Blabberghast - Active Eyes

From their 2024 self titled LP, this single called Active Eyes shows the band's mastery of lush pop songs mixed with sometimes subtle and sometimes not psychedelia. Lead songwriter and singer Adam Ghast was recently interviewed in 'Under The Radar' magazine, and said this about their debut album, "So while I predominately write the songs for the band, once we start recording, it really becomes a collective exercise in every way. I may have an initial vision for a song, but everyone in the group has a say and is able to help steer the direction of the recording, essentially rewriting the songs in the studio. We had a lot of fun making the album this way. Sure, the initial ideas are mine, but the album is a group achievement. Will we ever be the biggest band in the world? Not likely. We aren't a band like Mirage. All swagger and fire. We may get overlooked, and that's ok. It just gives me more to write about."
