The developer describes the game as a tactical roguelike deckbuilder where you build your kingdom, defend your capital, and outlast rival kings. Start with a custom deck from one of nine rulers and place cards onto a 3x3 battlefield grid. Cards include troops, towers, enchantments, and magical tomes — each offering unique effects and synergies.
Position your forces, fire your capital’s siege weapon, and survive enemy waves in automated battles where every placement decision matters. Win, and you expand your kingdom and upgrade your deck. Lose, and it’s back to the start.
Featuring meta-progression, permanent city upgrades, endless mode, and a growing pool of cards and kings, 9 Kings is designed for replayability and deep strategic planning. Available now on PC in Early Access.
