I hate this watch, I really really hate it, I just wasted two hours of my life, and none of that has got me any closer to understanding how good this watch actually is. So, better wording might be that the CMF Watch Pro 2 is just a nightmare to review. I love getting the data out of a new watch, and seeing my computer code generate the graphs we need to test these watches for their sports and health tracking. But that is just impossible with this watch. They promise Strava integration, but it just doesn’t work, at least no data appears for my two watches. Getting to the actual data these watches collect is something I haven’t managed, but who knows, maybe my monkey brain just wasn’t able to figure it out. All of that means this review will be different from my normal reviews in two ways: first, since I am not going to be able to access the raw data, which normally allows me to make quantitative plots like this and -this-, instead it will be a bit more qualitative, meaning we will just look at the data from the CMF Watch app side-by-side with the data from my references. The second thing that is different is that I cannot justify spending a lot of time testing this watch when I can’t actually get the data out.

And that’s not all. We didn’t discuss this yet, but this watch also has GPS. Well, at least it is supposed to have GPS. For me it always took forever to connect. Not once did it connect while I was waiting in place to connect before starting my ride. Yes, there were some buildings around, but basically all watches I tested before would connect in the exact same locations I tested. Maybe if I’d waited some minutes more it would have worked, but I just didn’t have the time. By the way, if you like this video, I hope that earns me a subscribe from you, that really helps the channel. The same goes for clicking that like button and commenting.
But back to the testing, overall my impression of the sport and health tracking of the CMF Watch Pro 2 isn’t great. As I mentioned before, this isn’t a full review, but that is not because I did not want to make one. I just couldn’t get the data I needed to do it. If we look beyond health and sports tracking, the CMF Watch Pro 2 isn’t bad for the price. The screen is bright enough and responsive, and I’m sure you could use it as a decent smartwatch. However, the integrated health and sports features don’t seem to be very accurate, at least not on me. So, please also check out some other reviewers, since performance can vary person-to-person. Though honestly I doubt very much that this watch will do well on anyone. If you’re looking for a cheap smartwatch with OK health and sport tracking, and would rather get an older model fitbit or a huawei band instead.
