Canyon warranty at its finest. This Canyon Ultimate CF SLX came in for a new bottom bracket after Canyon refused a warranty claim. The owner had already gone through several brackets in just a couple of years, and when he spotted a fault, Canyon told him it was “poor maintenance.”

What we found was much worse:

One side of the bottom bracket was massively undersized, the other oversized

Severe ovalisation and tapering inside the shell

A visible crack in the frame that Canyon never mentioned to the customer

This is not just a case of sloppy tolerances, it is a structural defect. Canyon rejected the warranty and sent it back, leaving the rider with a cracked frame and a big safety risk.

In the video, I go through the measurements, show the crack in detail, and explain why this kind of defect is dangerous.
