Jacqueline Olive is a filmmaker, with degrees in psychology from Xavier University and Counselor Education graduate studies at the University of Florida. She then went on to earn her Master's degree from the University of Florida Documentary Institute. In 2007, she interned with PBS, and had her first broadcast piece on PBS World in 2009. She produced virtual reality pieces that uses technology to explore themes of dehumanization and violence through the public space that black women navigate daily.

Jacqueline's current feature documentary, "Always In Season," examines the lingering impact of a century of lynching in America, with a spotlight on the case of Lennon Lacy, a 17 year old black student found hanging from a swing set in Bladenboro, NC. It premiered at the 2019 Sundance Film Festival and won the Special Jury Prize for Moral Urgency. It will be broadcast on PBD in 2020 through the Independent Lens series. Jacqueline is a board member of the Cucalorus Foundation, and a volunteer with the NC NAACP Moral Mondays Movement, Working Films and Democracy NC.
