Senior Congress leader and AICC member V R Sudarshan has written a formal letter to Mallikarjun Kharge, urging an immediate resolution to the leadership issue. Sudarshan warned that continued ambiguity over leadership could affect governance and weaken the administration in Karnataka. He said clear direction is urgently required to strengthen both the state government and the party’s functioning. At the same time, Deputy CM D K Shivakumar has intensified his outreach to senior leaders and party veterans. In what is seen as a strategic move, he recently met former minister K N Rajanna, a close aide of Siddaramaiah.
