Music Man's Mariposa Deluxe is a remarkably unique electric guitar that was designed in close collaboration with renowned guitarist Omar Rodriguez-Lopez of The Mars Volta. What makes this particular guitar a deluxe model is its gold hardware and Imperial black finish, which deliver an elegant, refined look that is further accentuated by its floral-pattern pickguard and unique offset body shape. Made of Okoume, this single-cutaway body delivers a resonant yet lightweight in-hand feel, plus a great neck-body balance. The Mariposa Deluxe's top-notch electronics include a tethered tone circuit and two Music Man custom wound humbuckers that deliver plenty of power for heavily-distorted playing without sacrificing the smoothness of a classic humbucking sound. And thanks to a roasted maple neck, 22-fret ebony fingerboard, Schaller locking tuners, and a Music Man Modern tremolo, playing the Mariposa is an absolute joy thanks to its exceptional in-hand feel.
