Over the years, Baxter released several successful albums, including "Gold Standard" (1981) which included the hit single “Planet of Love”, and "Funkadelic Dreams" (1989), each showcasing his distinctive voice and innovative musical style. Gold was also known for his energetic live performances, collaborations with disco and funk superstar Lee Daniels, and funk covers of the rock band KISS.
