Often used as a popular mountain bike trail, the Llama Trail is located just south of Sedona in the Coconino National Forest and I found it to be perfectly suited to a good trail run. It features stunning views of Courthouse Butte and Bell Rock among other striking formations. On the trail you will find sections of slickrock, enjoyable climbs and descents, pinyon pine forest, dry river beds and sections peppered with wildflowers.

Join me on this challenging 3.5 mile run (with a little power walking for the tougher climbs) and be rewarded with some of the most incredible views in the country.
