Inside cannabis flowers and chemistry

Описание к видео Inside cannabis flowers and chemistry

Cannabis sativa contains chemicals with medicinal and psychoactive properties, providing a valued natural product for millennia.

Teagen Quilichini, a National Research Council of Canada (NRC) Research Officer, used a pair of synchrotron techniques at the Canadian Light Source (CLS) at the University of Saskatchewan to uncover how structures in cannabis flowers are connected to the plant's complex chemistry.

This project was a collaboration between the CLS and the NRC as part of the Ideation Fund’s New Beginnings Initiative. Support for the collaborative research project was provided by the NRC’s National Program Office.
