Procession (New Order) cover on bass and acoustic instruments

This is my favourite Joy Division to New Order transitional song. The soaring synth pad at the start of the original gives an indication to where the band are headed and then when Stephen and Hooky come in it’s a reminder of where they came from!

I wanted to try a version played mostly on acoustic instruments and I was very lucky to have help from Nyree Stenekes on Gillian’s harmonies. I’ve included closeups of all the instrumental parts in case anyone is interested in having a go 😊.

A couple of notes:

I tuned the bottom E string of the acoustic guitar down to a C to get the low note on the opening and closing C chords.

the brown 4 string instrument is a baritone ukulele - tuned the same as the highest four strings on a guitar.

the little white instrument is a tenor ukulele tuned GCEA.
