We visited Plakias, a beautiful village on the south coast of the Greek island of Crete, in the regional unit of Rethymno, about 21 kilometers south of the city of Rethymno. It is surrounded by mountains to the north and the Libyan Sea to the south. There are many beachfront restaurants, cafes and a beautiful sandy beach.
