General Hospital Sweeps Daytime Emmy Awards

General Hospital was the big winner at the 49th annual Daytime Emmy Awards, taking home five trophies, including Outstanding Drama Series, Outstanding Lead Actor for Maurice Benard, and Outstanding Supporting Actress for Kelly Monaco.

The Young and the Restless and The Bold and the Beautiful were also nominated for Outstanding Drama Series, but General Hospital came out on top. The win is the show's 15th in the category.

Outstanding Supporting Actor: James Reynolds (The Bold and the Beautiful)
Outstanding Talk Show Host: Kelly Ripa and Ryan Seacrest (Live with Kelly and Ryan)
The ceremony was held virtually this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
