Massive Ruckus In Shimla: Protesters Clash With Police Over Illegal Construction Of Mosque In Shimla

A tense situation prevailed at the Dhalli Tunnel East portal in Shimla as protestors, including members of Hindu outfits, tried to remove the barricading at the tunnel during their protest rally against the alleged illegal construction of a mosque in the Sanjauli area.
Heavy police personnel were deployed in the tunnel in view of the protests against the alleged construction issue of Sanjauli mosque.

Meanwhile, Himachal Pradesh Minister Rohit Thakur stated that the situation is normal.

"There have never been communal riots in our state. Himachal is known as Devbhoomi. Currently, the situation is normal and everyday public life is running smoothly. Protesting is the right of the people, but everything should happen within the limits of the law," said Minister Rohit Thakur.
