Slow fading isn’t a gendered thing. 

People do it because they’re afraid of conflict and uncomfortable conversations. Instead of being direct, they hope things quietly disappear. And yes, it’s really shitty.

We can’t control other people’s avoidance, but we can control how we show up. If you feel someone pulling away or notice a shift in energy, you’re allowed to name it. 

You can say you’ve noticed the change, share that you’d like to see them again, and ask how they’re feeling.

Being direct gives you clarity. And clarity helps you move forward, whether that means continuing or letting go of something that isn’t going to serve you long term.
