House Democrats' impeachment charades continue as Chairman Jerrold Nadler (D-Ny.) holds a markup entitled “Resolution of Investigative Procedures” -- changing certain elements of committee procedure to allow the Democrats to claim that they are undertaking an impeachment inquiry.

Here, Rep. Mike Johnson (LA-04) explains the absurdity of one of the rules changes. Why should the chairman designate a staffer (or hired gun attorney) to question an impeachment witness instead of members themselves -- who are elected by and accountable to the people?

U.S. Representative Mike Johnson represents Louisiana’s Fourth District, where he, his wife and their four children live in Bossier Parish. Louisiana’s Fourth District largely includes the Northwest portion of Louisiana, including Shreveport, Bossier City, Natchitoches, Minden, De Ridder, Opelousas, Leesville, Eunice, Ville Platte, Mansfield and Benton.
