The first Town Hall building appeared on the Market square in the 13th century. The construction lasted for over 250 years, and many adjustments were made after that. The building served as the Town hall until the 1930s when it was converted into a museum. Today it houses one of the branches of the City Museum. A few restaurants and a brewery are located in the basement.
