Tree health focus: sweet chestnut

Описание к видео Tree health focus: sweet chestnut

A focus on the current threats to the health of sweet chestnut in the south-east and London area. The south-east and London region holds the majority of the sweet chestnut in the country, especially sweet chestnut coppice. Sweet chestnut is susceptible to a number of disease, such as Phytopthora ramorum, P. cinnamomi, sweet chestnut blight and oriental gall wasp.

In this video the Forestry Commission's Tree Health Officer for the region, Alan Ockenden, updates the woodland management sector on the state of sweet chestnut, and answers questions posed during the live event.
