Covington Catholic High School and Highlands High School played their first football game against one another on September 21, 1968 during the Covington Catholic football program's second season of existence, and in a single evening, an instant rivalry was born. Over half a century later and more than 75 games played between the two programs, the rivalry still goes strong.
