Double mini roundabouts can cause confusion. I have made this video filmed in Wash Common Newbury to help learner and fully qualified drivers navigate them safely.

After watch ing the video use Google Streetview on Maps to approach each angle virtually and try to work out your own signals and position.

Going Left and right is straight forwards. Signal on approach to the double mini roundabout and keep the signal on till you have left the whole entity. Sometimes you will be using one or both mini roundabouts depending on which angle you have approached at. Always ensure you cancel your signal when you have finished navigating the double mini roundabout.

Going ahead is not straight forwards. Many drivers tend to signal left hen right or right then left. This can be incredibly dangerous as drivers down the first or left exit can get very confused and pull out in front of you as they might think you are turning down their exit. You then signal right and they pull out in front of you and that's where they can be dangerous!

So simple rule for going ahead at a double mini roundabout. NEVER signal at the first roundabout. At the second one position and signal according to where your exit is! Som,etimes that might be left sometimes right. Once you understand the basic rule it becomes very simple and quite intuitive.

Regarding signalling left to exit there simply is not time for other to see it especially down the exit you are going. So more important to concentrate on your steering.

Highway Code Rule 188 says about Mini Roundabouts:

Approach these in the same way as normal roundabouts. All vehicles MUST pass round the central markings except large vehicles which are physically incapable of doing so. Remember, there is less space to manoeuvre and less time to signal. Avoid making U-turns at mini-roundabouts. Beware of others doing this.
