Dreams of Myanmar Farmers

What are the dreams of farmers in Southern Myanmar? With regard to the increasing changes in land use, scientists from the Centre for Development and Environment (CDE), University of Bern, and the Environmental Care and Community Security Institute (ECCSi) in Myanmar asked this question smallscale farmers during the research project “Managing telecoupled landscapes”, a project, which started in 2015 and was funded by the Swiss r4d programme. The researches got clear answers: a climate-smart agriculture, access to microfinances, and assuring the ownership of the ancestral land tenure.
