In this trailer we head back out to the Spokane River after work for an evening of fly fishing in June. We had great success in May so we thought we would see if the fish were still there and biting. Again, we used streamers and large dry flies to catch and release Rainbows. We get a hot day in early June. This time we start with an olive Wooly Bugger and have similar results with lots of bites and several fish landed. We switch earlier to the large black Chernobyl Ant pattern, not waiting to see risers to use the big bug on the surface. Wow, these fish can be aggressive and again, we hook up with several fish in the late evening hours. Another wonderful evening on the Spokane River. We get flies and advice from the local Orvis Northwest Outfitters (https://nwoutfitters.com/) in Coeur D Alene, Idaho and Silverbow Fly Shop (https://www.silverbowflyshop.com/) in Spokane, Washington.
