Vintique Motors is thrilled to present this 1962 Oldsmobile Starfire Coupe!

Oldsmobile’s fascination with its performance image began in earnest in 1949 with the Rocket 88 engines offered in the company’s lightest cars. The 1962 Oldsmobile Starfire was an offshoot of that same strategy with a wheelbase that was 3 inches shorter than the full-size 98 series yet packed all the power of the bigger model.

This '62 Starfire is finished in its original colors of code A Ebony Black over code 935 two-tone red leather and is powered by a 394ci V8 rated at 345hp and paired with a three-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes power steering, power brakes, power windows, and aluminum and chrome trim.

The cabin features front bucket seats and a rear bench trimmed in two-tone red leather with dark red inserts and color-matching piping. The two-spoke steering wheel frames a horizontal 120-mph speedometer and a fuel-level gauge. A tachometer and auxiliary gauges are mounted in the center console. The five-digit odometer shows 16k miles, which are said to be original from past ownership, but are unverified without documentation.

It has spent time in Florida and Tennessee under past ownership. It runs and drives fantastic with a 4-wheel disc brake conversion as well as a recently rebuild carburetor along with modern Cooper radials mounted on chrome finished 17" wheels. It is sold with the window sticker, brochure, service manual, two extra Fram air filters, 4 aftermarket chrome hub caps as it original featured chrome hub caps, a spare fuel pump, and a new power antenna assembly as the current assembly is in-operable.

Don't miss out on this sled as it has the look and the drivability to keep you cruising in style.
