On August 6th, 1996, 18 year old Rachel Timmerman went to a friend's house to play some games, but the night ended in the worst possible way- Rachel was raped. She mustered up the courage to testify against her rapist, Marvin Gabrion, even though he threatened to kill her. By June 3rd, 1997, as the upcoming trial for rape was quickly approaching, Rachel and her baby daughter, Shannon, were excited to meet up with a young man who invited the two on a date. However, Rachel, her baby, and many others went missing just before the trial for rape was set to start.
