Quantitative Data Analysis with ChatGPT

A brief introduction of how to analyse quantitative data with ChatGPT. Use generative AI to do basic descriptive and inferential analysis. Tell the GenAI what the outputs should look like.

Prompt 1 – I have cross-sectional survey data (attached); please recommend analyses I could do with my data set. The raw data is on tab 1, and the codebook is shown on tab 2 in the Excel file.

1b: Please create visualizations for me based on this data set

Prompt 2 – Please give me a table and a graph per variable and make the output a Word document. Take into consideration whether the items are ordinal or interval and conduct the appropriate descriptive analysis. Use category labels in the tables and the figures as found in the Excel file.

Prompt 3 – Provide me with correlations for the three summative scores Include p-values. Show the results in tables with a narrative summary of your interpretation and limit decimals to two points.
