In Chicago, housing for Black Americans has been set up to be separate and unequal. Dr. Martin Luther King , Jr. and the Southern Christian Leadership Conference (SCLC) traveled to the city to join and aid leaders against unfair housing practices, including redlining, that have left Black residents segregated from white neighborhoods.
