The Queen's Head, Box is home to Box Rocks Festival, Box Ukulele Festival and Schtumm... boasting the greatest live music experiences in the South West. A local watering hole for Peter Gabriel’s RealWorld Studios, it is no wonder that it holds such a fine range of live music events across the year. Over 500 people enjoyed eight hours of live music as the Box Rocks event celebrated its 25th anniversary on August Bank Holiday Monday. The well-known and popular live music event started in 1994 with just one band playing on a roof. This year’s line-up saw a great range of music from Bristol’s Hip Hop artists Stay Hungry, UK Country Artist Jeannine Barry and local artists Corinthian Casuals, Blue Dog, Zackie Chan, Luck of the Draw and Pleasures of the Damned. The night ended with a spectacular School of Rock show featuring musicians from the day. Dean Creighton, landlord of The Queens Head said: "We wanted this year to be a big celebration for all those who have played, volunteered and worked so hard for Box Rocks over the past 25 years.
