Berlin is more than tourist attractions and crazy nightlife - The traditional German fast food that can be found in Berlin should be on your list when visting the capital city. You don't go there without trying Döner Kebab and/or Currywurst. PERIOD.

In this episode you are joining me and my friend for a cinematic currywurst experience. This is the first time we try currywurst and what can I say... it was delicious. This fast food dish is one of the most popular in Germany, especially in Berlin where it was invented. Generally currywurst is sold at fast food joints, like Curry 36, but you can get it at restaurants as well. Currywurst consists of pork sausage, wurst, but what might come as a surprise is that the sausage hasn't curry itself added to it, it's the sauce. However, the sauce isn't like an Indian curry sauce - it is more like ketchup with curry added to it. Usually, currywurst is served on a plastic plate along with fries and mayo. Whether it be when sightseeing or partying, currywurst is the perfect quick bite.

Berlin being a world city with an unimaginable history, clearly there are an abundance of things to do and experience. With landmarks such as Brandenburg Gate and Reichstag to name a few or famous techno clubs such as Berghain and Tresor, it's easy to forget the German food culture. But as far as I'm concerned, trying currywurst (and döner kebab) should be equally important when visiting Berlin.
